Community Learning Centers   Trainings and Workshops

Beans and Rice, Inc. runs community learning centers in 3 low-income housing units. Programs include:

  • After school programs
  • Youthleadership program
  • Mealtime
  • Computer learning centers
  • GED classes.
  

Beans and Rice, Inc. facilitates a variety of workshops for organizations, schools, and student groups.
 

Economic Development   Service Learning
Economic development projects include the Individual Development Accounts program and the Community Development and Leanring Center.   Service-learning is at the core of Beans and Rice, Inc.'s work. We run an on-going Service-Learning program and host Alternative Breaks.
