No, we have volunteers that give time on a regular basis and others that come in once or twice a year for a couple of hours. We appreciate your gift of time in any amount!
We have workdays and events that happen on the weekends and those are great times to volunteer.

We have a brief volunteer form that gives us contact information and helps us track the number of hours that amazing volunteers such as yourself donate to Beans and Rice. You would only need to be finger printed if you were working with youth in a volunteer or training position that would not have a staff person present.
We accept donations the way that works best for you. Credit/Debit cards can be use through our website donate button, checks can be mailed, and cash donations can be made in-person.
Absolutely! You can send a note with the donation that specifies one of the following areas: Family Stability (Workforce development, Business startup support, Financial literacy, etc.), Food Security (Weekly food distribution, Healthy kids program, Pulaski Mobile Food Market), Youth Development (Work experience, Workforce readiness, Internships, Enrichment programs), Worker Space & Internet Café (Upgrading spaces to meet more needs in the community), or General Operating (Maximize the flexibility of your gift).
Yes, Beans and Rice, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. As long as you are not receiving anything in return for the donation, you can take it as a deduction.

A number of our programs and trainings are free, others are fee-based, and some have a sliding scale. If there is a cost, it will be noted with the event calendar information.
Most of our summer enrichment programs are usually geared to rising 6th-8th graders, the youth workforce development trainings are designed for 14 to 18 year olds, and internships are for designed for 16 to 25 year olds. From time to time, we offer programming for younger children.
